If you use the Bold 9900, you know that few sites will load in the BlackBerry browser these days, due to TLS issues.

There's a bit of a workaround though. You can use ActionRetro's FrogFind! It's a search engine for vintage computers that renders sites in reader mode over plain http.

You can access the search engine in two different ways:

    1. Go to frogfind.com

    OR

    2. Add it as the search engine in the browser bar.

To add FrogFind! as your browser bar search engine, open the browser, press the BlackBerry button, choose "Options" > "Manage Search Engines" > "New Search Engine"

Enter the following information (without all the extra spaces in the address):

    Name: FrogFind!
    Address: h t t p : / / f r o g f i n d . c o m ? q = % s

Press the BlackBerry button and select save.

FrogFind's mobilizing method isn't perfect. It will succeed on many sites and fail on many others. But it's another nice option on a device that has no business being on the internet these days.

Your other option is to install the Opera Mini web browser and update your security certificates, which will get you access to even more sites. A how-to is here: http://darkstar.x10host.com/nibble/certificates.html

You also might want to add https://wiby.me to your list of Bold 9900 search engines. It still works and most of the results render properly on the bold. Hit "surprise me..." I dare you.
