    I'd guess it is but I'd also guess it will never happen - RIM (presumably) issue the pins and I'm not aware of any option for customisation. Perhaps they choose 8 because 7 limits the number of combinations they have too much.

    hmm .. Cause in my site i saw now 2 diff ppl putting their PIN and it has only 7 characters .. maybe they are mistaken

    Or maybe they're older models with older pins? I might be wrong too, I just know that the BB comes with a pin and that 8 characters is their standard.
