I just read both articles, including the BGR one, everyone keeps saying there's going to be an official Verizon announcement. Where are they getting this info from?
New BlackBerry Bold 9930 was announced back in May this year at the BlackBerry World 2011. Now this handset will be launched and released later today by RIM on Verizon as we reported earlier today
In the BGR article "Ahead of an official announcement expected on Tuesday, Verizon Wireless let slip a promotional video starring its upcoming flagship BlackBerry smartphone, the BlackBerry Bold 9930"
And the other article posted on the previous page "Behold couple of hours for RIM and Verizon to officially launch and release the BlackBerry Bold 9930 handset.

I don't see how a couple articles saying it's launching today gives it any credibility. No one is citing any sources or any relevant info. It seems like they're just inferring that the video leak somehow translates to a release the very next day.
You need an article to tell you it was a mistake..? haha not the fact that I don't know.. It was the video under the Bold 9650.. or maybe the fact that there has been no news with verizon and 9930 then this pops out of nowhere..

I love how they have a thumb stratigicly placed where the Verizon branding will be through the whole video. I can't believe we've still not seen a 9930 with Verizon branding.....you'd think they'd hold off on making a video like this until they have one.
Major mistake. I am assuming the 9650 will continue to be sold at a discount for a while (At least, when I got my Storm 2, the Storm was still available, and I think they may have had two Curves at the time). So why would the 9930 video be posted, its not like they were going to swap out pics on the current site. The will make a new page for the 9930 (they have 4 iphone pages!). Aubrey is not on any of the other videos for phones. So I take it the video was made and accidentally added in place of Aubrey on the 9650 page instead of the soon (I hope) to be released 9930 page. This was the first time I looked at the vids, so I do not know that this is an old vid, but it seems unlikely it was produced today as a cover-up.
Can you believe they're still selling the Storm 2 for $199 w/2 year contract?? Am I the only one to notice this atrocity? Really?? That phone is worth $199 still? That is such a joke. You can get an iPhone for $199.
Obviously they did shootthis some time ago or fixed whatthey did. i just watched the video and no mention of a 9930 or even close to it.
No worries it will be coming soon enough and when my local store has it sitting on the display i think then I would believe it and say...."get to switching over my contacts, will take care of the rest. Getting close no doubt!
However everyone knows RIM, the carriers and all the nonsense you go though. This is no shock to many of us who have owned many BBs and have to hurry up and wait until they are really in the retail stores.
