9900 wifi problem
Hoping someone can help with a couple of problems that have me stumped. Both myself and my wife have 9900's - mine works perfectly and cannot fault it. However my wifes will only show between 1 and 3 bars (usually 2) for wifi strength at home - even though mine will show all 4 and the phones are a couple of inches away from each other? We have wireless-n at home so when in the same room as the wifi router I'd expect to see it at max strength at the time.
Also web browsing at home when wifi is enabled is almost impossible - going to sites like the BBC or the Guardian or Google mobile sites are fine. But no Blackberry sites will ever work, the browser just times out and then displays a communication error. Mine has never done this.
We both have version 7.1.0.714 installed, the only difference between phones is I'm with giffgaff and my wife is with Orange - we both have the BIS addon provided by our respective carriers. But surely this have nothing to do with the problems when connected via wifi? I've tried soft and hard resets several times and still the same result.
Any help would be appreciated as I'm totally out of ideas.
Thanks - J.

Actually I've just been through every setting and comparing with mine and I see that my wifes phone has nothing set for APN in TCP/IP .... should it? Mine has some giffgaff settings in there. Anyone know what the Orange UK ones are? Done a quick Google and plenty of people suggest orangeinternet and either user/pass or nothing. Tried both and get the same result.

You can try a few things.. 1. Clear your cache and other stuff from the browser and start fresh. Maybe this should help. 2. If you have access to your router settings - changing the channel for wireless in router settings also helps. You can try channel 11.
My wifi settings are
Security - wpa personal
channel - 11
network type - 802.11b/g

APN settings are for network internet and not related to Wifi
