According to Crucials twitter the 9810 is about to reach technical acceptance and will launch before the 9900, but the 9900 is being fast tracked by AT&T to launch before the iphone 5

Is technical acceptance different than field testing? PG said Torch 2 already in field testing and would be launched early/mid august.
Is technical acceptance next stage after field test. How long does it take for technical acceptance?

I think TA is reached when field testing is successful and the device is ready to launch on the carrier. TA acceptance usually means a release is coming very soon because I believe it is the last hurdle to jump.

Awesome news! Can't wait for the 9900! Thanks for the update.

Think they are talking about crucialextream or something like that on here. He has been around for a long time and knows much....... didn't you see the one post said he was a god? J/K
Just want to add to the pot of how Crucial is indeed RARELY wrong (and a bona fide super-guru). A god, I cannot say. But his word carries much weight around these parts. *cue whirling wind noise w/a crack of thunder in the distance* ;D
Crucial_Xtreme, is a very knowledgable and highly respected member of the CB community. He has not been as active as he once was, but he is staying busy with his work, family and of course Formula 1 racing. When CX speaks, you can rest assured he does so with knowledge rather than speculation.

finally something good from at&t.but i want to know something.the last i heard,is that at&t is field testing the iphone 5.if everything runs smooth, then the iphone 5 can be ready to go in august.that seems more reasonable since apple has a music event scheduled for september.and having the iphone 5 release in september, that could conflict with their planned event.so august is just right to do it from apple's standpoint.so if cx could shed some light on this, your most welcome.having 9810,9900,and iphone 5 all on display would be a treat for me.i will get to fondle with all three of them before deciding on one.
This is some really good news. I was getting worried that all us AT&T users would get stuck with torch 2 exclusivity instead of a timely 9900 release. I like the sound of "fast tracked", unless it translates to "incomplete product" or "full of bugs" ...!
Hopefully not. And this would certainly be good for AT&T given that other carriers will be getting it soon, especially with this new July 28th Verizon rumor (see other thread).

Crucial needs to post something about the 9930's release on Verizon (crosses fingers). It is great news that there is some reliable information out there regarding this phone's release though.
