9900 not Receiving Emails on BIS from Carrier BT in the UK

Recently my 9900 has had problems with receiving e.mails over BIS to both my BT e.mail accounts.

I also have Outlook and G.Mail accounts on the phone and they are working normally.

I am receiving the BT account messages on my PC but they are not hitting the Berry. Messages sent from the affected accounts are being sent normally.

I have re sent the service books and deleted and set up the accounts from scratch but the problem persists.

If I send myself a message to and from a BT account the Bold will sometimes receive a batch of messages that have been stored up but then revert back to receiving nothing.

The affected accounts are set up as IMAP rather than POP3 but so is the unaffected g.mail account.

Any suggestions as to how to resolve the problem would be greatly appreciated.

You have tried what I would suggest, except maybe for an HRT reset, go to Options, Device, Advanced, Host Routing, press the BB button (menu) and select Register Now. Follow that with one more send service books, and finally a reboot. Cross your fingers. If that does not work call BT.

Cheers, I am increasingly beginning to think that it is a problem with the BT servers and not a BIS issue.

On BBOS/BIS it's usually the individual email service. For example, sometimes it happens with hotmail/outlook. Sometimes it happens with yahoo. For example, right now, my yahoo and rocketmail accounts are pushing slower than instantly. When this has happened in the past, the problem usually fixes itself in a few days.

Yeah, I believe that BT is in the process of migrating accounts from Yahoo servers or at least preparing to do so, so my problems may well be related to this.

I have reported my issues to BT specifically asking if it is a server issue but have yet to receive a response so was hoping that someone else out there would chip in with their thoughts.

For once I suspect that BB may NOT be to blame !!!

I've checked a couple of times this afternoon, and my yahoo & rocketmail accounts are pushing normally (instantly) again. So, hopefully yours will be back to good soon, if not already.

Don�t think I agree with you. My BIS email stopped a few times in central New Jersey (US) and stopped again today, no contact to the RIM netowork over Wi-Fi for several hours.
