    Hi guys,
A few weeks ago, after 2 years time, my 9900 phone started to consume battery at a rapid rate. From normally giving me almost 1 full day of use it went to 10 min talk-time before it dying. It all happened in a matter of days.
I decided that the problem is the 2 y.o. battery and ordered a new one. By the time the new battery arrived my phone was long time dead. It won't even start with a power cable. So new battery hasn't brought it back to life.
If i try to connect it to my Mac the Desktop Software it informs that there is problem with the device and offers me a choice to repair but then nothing happens when I chose it.

I've attached the link to the log file:

Is there anything I can do to make it work or is it just throwing it in the garbage?

    Thanks!

    Hi, thanks for help!
    Here is what happens:
    - plug in to the charger with the battery: red light lights up for around 15-20 seconds then switches off and nothing happens
    - Plug in to the charger without the battery: the same pattern
    - Plug in to Mac: the red light lights app for around 5 sec and then the following message comes up: "The BlackBerry Desktop Software cannot connect with this device.". I have a choice "Retry" (no use), Cancel and Repair (the red light start to flash irregular for around 30 sec and then nothing happens).

    Thanks!

Do you have an external battery charger? Or a charging pod? Sounds like It might not be charging the battery correctly, the charging port may be bad.

When plugging into the charger or computer , are you using the same wire ?
Ifso , it may be defective - try with another cable.

IF the wire is good , then it might be the port on the phone.

The same thing happens with both batteries ?
    ( old and new )

    Hi!
It is different cords: 1) usb wall-outlet adapter and 2) USB cable from/to my Mac. Both of the cables works fine with other devices as for now.

The old battery behaves differently: the red light lights up for 2 sec and then off for 5 sec and it is continuing doing so on and off for several minutes.

    Thanks!
