Hi all,

Is there anyone out there who really knows the reason why Viber can't implement voice calls on BBOS6 while BBM Voice chat over Wifi works great?

Viber said it is due to 'inherent limitations' but I don't buy that.

Any thoughts please.

Don't forget that BBM has an advantage as it can run over Blackberry's private network.

I have no idea what Viber is, but usually you'll find companies who develop products will concentrate their resources on the current OS releases. There are less and less of us on the older phones so it makes less sense for companies like Viber to develop for it. They just won't make their development cash back.

I feel your frustration. I'm not certain why Viber won't implement Voice Calls on os6.

On a similar note, I'd love to find an app that allows Google Voice VOIP for BlackBerry 6.

Limitations of a legacy os I suppose.
