Hi all here is my issue. I bought a 9780. originally a virgin ? bell phone. Unlocked it for use with my Fido sim. So far so good. Now the issue, certain data will not work. Basically anything that uses the browser that was loaded on the phone. I changed the setting (apn) to internet.fido.ca and things like bbscanner and tune in radio and weather eye work. But anything that relies on the browser dose not. I loaded uZard and it works.

Any ideas? thanks

Do you have an active BlackBerry Data Plan with Fido?

You'll need a blackberry addon and not just the addon for smartphones. They are seperate things.

thanks i tried to set it up that way but Fido said it was not one of there phone and could not register it.

When I was on holiday in Toronto I bought a Fido SIM and purchased the same plan, was for 30 days coverage. It only works for Social Networks like FB & Twitter and for BBM. I couldn't find away round it

update:

apn setting were wrong. as it was a Virgin / Bell phone originally and I am on Fido. I updated the OS through BB desk top and then the BB brosweer started to work, but lost the maps and some other things. As noted it was the apn setting going back to Bell and now I have them rest to fido.
