My bold was sitting next to me and I noticed all of a sudden the reboot status bar was on the screen like I had just done a battery pull.

I have done a battery pull 10 times and it still stops and shuts down once the status bar gets to about 1/4 finished or so.

Any thoughts?

If you made a backup with desktop manager, you're in luck, cause you'll need to reload the OS. Mine did that before. I used apploader and the one from my carrier (telus) and it was fixed. If you choose one that isn't from your carrier, delete the vendor.xml file before loading it.
