Personally I like the trackball because I find it easier to navigate so how much different is the 9700 to the 9000 and will I get use to it after using the trackball for so long?

It's a whole lot better actually. Apart from the trackball, it boasts more internal memory than the Bold. Not forgetting the screen size and resolution beats the 9000 by a mile.

the 9700 is a better smartphone in almost all aspects, even the trackpad won't ever have that "sticky" problem...

The keyboard is probably the best on the 9000 and the speakers but otherwise, everything else is pretty sweet especially when it comes to memory. I found that on my 9000, the memory limitations really hit hard after the OS 5 update (still worth it in my opinion if you can live without a few apps, which I was more than happy to do). it's a shame things couldn't be moved to external memory etc.

2.8" screen and slightly lower resolution doesn't affect the bold 9000 too much but the 9700 screen won't disappoint.

I've used blackberry 9000 for last 12 months until last week when I upgraded to 9700. And personally 9700 is way better than 9000. Hi resolution screen, awesome design, 256MB memory, long battery life, lasts upto 2 days (had to charge 9000 everyday), 3.2 MP camera with flash instead of 2MP. Personally, the only thing I miss in original bold is keyboard. But 9700 makes up for all the other things and keyboard is not that bad either.

the 9700 not the absolute perfect fit for large manly hands.other than that the device is rock solid.2 days without charging is like driving on cruise control.the trackpad better than the sticky ball.9700 has been a huge hit since its release in 2009.you won't be disappointed.it lives up to blackberry potential.
