9700 freezes while texting...

This started today. I'll be texting in either Google chat or BBM and all of a sudden the screen goes white and the phone begins to restart. Phone seems to work fine if I'm not typing in a chat. I sent one SMS today and it was fine, but that was before the issue first occurred.

What could be the cause of this? OS issue? App problem?

Thanks if anyone can help.

Edit: It just froze and restarted again while I was typing in my password to unlock it. It had just started up from the previous restart. I guess it's not solely limited to during texting.

Then wipe the device and reload the os. Something is corrupt. Not much you can do to fix these types of situations manually.
