a couple of days back, it started acting up... i just get a black screen when i pull up the camera. i can access the options but when i press the track pad to take a picture, nothing happens. same goes when i use the camera convenience keys
i already tried upgrading from os5 to os6.576 and still have the same problems
all other functions of the 9700 are working perfectly fine except the camera. what can i do?
I suggest, since you likely wiped with BBSAK and tried updating the device software to no avail, you likely also tried a battery pull too, but that didn't work. All I can guess or say, is it's now a hardware issue. Is your device still under warranty?

unfortunately, I didn't wipe with BBSAK before installing os6 onto the 9700
sad to say, i still am a noob when it comes to complicated activities such as wiping
Before wiping, ensure that the device software is installed on your computer. Remember to delete the vendor.xml file. Sidenote: If you have a mac, you'll need to do it via windows in bootcamp, or via a virtual pc such as virtualbox, or use a friends windows PC to do it on.

quick question, after wiping with bbsak, do i go through the apploader route or just reinstall the os using bbsak as well?
BBSAK is essentially a universal one-click remote for apploader, just click Load OS, select the OS, click Load OS and off you go!
Download BBSAK: www.bbsak.org
