Hi, I recently bought a gold housing but now I don't like it. So now decided to get a 9780 housing for my 9700. I know the bezel is darker in colour and the back battery cover has a different texture. But are the keyboards different aswell? I remember my 9780 it felt softer when typing but that could be something to do with the keyboard membrane? Am I right?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thankyou!

The 9780 has darker chrome frets on the keyboard compared to the 9700 but they are interchangeable. As for the "feel", that's due to the membrane underneath the keyboard.

they are the same externally. only way you can tell if it is a 9700 or 9780 is the features it has.

housings can be used on both. like satan said the feel is just the membrane which you can change easily if you like to.

ive put 9780 keyboards on 9700s. prefer it because the chrome wears out and you can notice it so much.
