I just got a Bold 9650 (because of endless problems with my Tour 9630). Carrier: Verizon

My Partner just got a Bold 9700 (His first BB - a virgin!)
    His Carrier: T-mobile

WHat exactly are the differences between the 9650 and the 9700?
I know my 9650 is Worldwide; his 9700 is NOT.
I know the charging magnets are in a different loction on the unit

Can anyone list any other differences?

    They both are world phones
    The 9700 is slightly smaller
They both are the top bb for there perspective carrier
The 9700 is TMO's first 3g bb as well as frist top tier bb for the carrier
The 9650 is just a refresh while the 9700 was an upgrade to the 9000 ( although many will say it was a refresh also)
Other than those things they are much the same.
oh ya the 9650 has more mem but that will change in the refresh of the 9700 (9780).

No...my Partner's 9700 from T-Mobile is *NOT* Worldwide. We three times: once at time of purchase, once when the box had no adapters and a third time via phonecall to T-Mobile.

The 9650 is slightly larger than the 9700. The 9650 has 512 mb of memory, twice the memory of the 9700. The 9650 is cdma and the 9700 is gsm. They both have high res screens, optical trackpads and wifi. I've heard that the 9650 is BB 6 capable, not sure about 9700. They're both top of the line devices.

The bold 9700 is a international device. All you would have to do to get it to work overseas is have it unlocked. The many or all GSM phones that use a sim card can be used overseas. I guess that I am not understanding what you mean by world wide.

Maybe, I am just misinterpretting your wording here, but the 9650 is a CDMA/GSM phone. It is marketed as a CDMA device sold by CDMA carriers, but with GSM capabilities giving it the flexibility to be used on GSM carriers worldwide.

The Bold 9700 IS a World Phone. The fact that it does not come with AC Adapters for different countries is no indication that it isn't.

Both the T-Mobile and AT&T versions of the 9700 have Quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity which means you get voice services virtually anywhere there is a GSM provider (whether you roam on diffrent providers around the world or unlock your device and swap out SIM's is up to you).

Additionally the T-mobile version of the 9700 has UMTS Bands 1,4, & 8, while the AT&T versions has Bands 1,2,5, and 6 which means you will get 3G connectivity in USA, Canada, Australia, UK, Spain, Japan, and many other countries in North America, Asia, and Europe.
