I am so confused! What is the Onyx then? 20, 30 or 40. And then what are the other 2 for that matter!

onyx is 9020 as far as we know, but we all know that can change before launch... as for a 9010, or 9030... looks like a fraud on ebay to get sales.... unsuspecting buyers that dont know anything

Exactly. Why would there be a 9010 when the 9020 (Onyx as of now) is going to have both GPS and WiFi anyways?

Because one could have one set of bands, while the other has different ones.

ATT originally got the 8310 and TMO the 8320. And while those seemed to designate GPS and WiFi respectively, perhaps now that most new Berries on GSM (9000, 8900, and the 9520 would have) have both (save the 8520), they will be carrier representative? 10 belongs to ATT and 20 belongs to TMO? And 00 still represents a new line? Just a thought. A loose, easily ripped apart thought.

    AT&T has the 8320 now so "XX20" doesn't necessarily "belong" to T-Mobile...

Oh, no worries my friend. Just wanted to put that out there. We have different variations of model numbers on quite a few devices. What's not to say this one isn't the same. That's all.

XX20 just means WiFi, that is all. Doesnt mean a carrier specific device. (Keep in mind there ARE carriers outside the US that get these devices)

Usually the xx30 means the device is CDMA.But the Tour is already classified as the 9630 so it can't be the 9030.The CDMA Jupiter 8930 is part of the Curve II 89xx series.Hmmmmm

I think that maybe the Onyx might be the 9010, and the Driftwood will be 9020, but what do I know.

I'd say both the Onyx and the Driftwood will be listed as 9020 devices since they both have Wi-Fi.
