Since the 8830 WE is still so new i would give it atleast a year or 2 before the 9000 series start. I maybe be wrong but according to some inside information it could possibly be longer
RIM = Smart ... They realize time and time again to deliver to the carrier with the most BB users, AT&T. I can't wait to pop my AT&T sim in that 9000 and watch all the Sprint/Verizon haters :-( I don't mention T-mobile because they are able to unlock and use it.
It's coming to sprint in October '08. I've already seen pre-orders and questions popping up in the sprint call center.
So Sprint will be getting this phone October '08...How have you see pre-orders already?..Just wondering..This phone is pretty nice and if it does come out then I may get it around October when my contract is up with Sprint..
Yeah you AT&T users will have a great phone to look at since your service sucks so badly. I see AT&T trying to be a good company but they could be the 1st to have the brand new ear implanted phone 10 years befor it comes out and I wouldn't go to their lame service. Viva la sprint!

I would wait to see when it is actually released for ATT first. I would then add at least 6 months to a year before it is available to sprint users.
If what BGR reports is true they are aiming for an ATT release in June. Included in the report is that they will have a 6 month exclusive deal in place when its released.
With major battery issues still being ironed out June may be a little optimistic.
I bet sprint and Verizon get it last. They are finally getting the Curve. The question is, will AT&T or T-mobile get it first? Since AT&T got the 8820 and 8120 first I would have to go with AT&T.

I hate to break it to you ppcmd, but Sprint isn't anywhere near going under. Not sure where you got that impression. Sorry to disappoint you.
Where is all this anger towards Sprint coming from? Did you get burned by their *wonderful* customer service?
I was wondering the same thing, so much hate towards Sprint!! I mean I have my problems with them too but nothing different from any other cell phone company. I don't care who gets the 9000 first just as long as I can get it (even if it means a year later).
I really doubt Sprint will get it anytime soon. They're just now coming out with the Curve a year after AT&T and T-Mobile did. You know all the GSM versions of phones come out way before the CDMA versions, well most the time. I'll say most likely AT&T will get it first, then T-Mobile right afterwards. Sprint and Verizon will get it like a year later....
