I have downloaded the device update from Blackberry as the Sticky note suggests, yet I do not have a desktop icon (or a hidden program in my list of programs) to proceed as the desktop manager help files suggest.

I'm sure I've made a mistake somewhere along the way, but any assistance to end the frustration is greatly appreciated.

However, I'm not sure that the process I have followed is any different than that which you recommend (both processes are supported by the steps I have taken).

Where exactly are you having problems?

do you have desktop manager installed?

Did you install the os on the computer?

You have to click the exe file once downloaded. Then, start Desktop manager and it should be ready to roll. Make sure to delet the Vendor.xml file per the instructions at the link though if the OS is not from your carrier.

I am convinced you have skipped a step somewhere or are using DM 4.7. To have nothing happen is strange.
