Is the Camera connected by a cable? or is it soldered on? Just a thought....

soldered on i guess if your really good u could swap it, although the firmware wouldn't support the auto focus nor would it support the 3.2 mega pixels. or would it.......

I was thinking the same thing when I was poking around cnn.cn Probably not possible because of software/hardware incompatibility. Which is too bad. I hardly use the camera on my Bold as everything comes out blurry. The camera is one thing I miss from the 8900 I had for a couple of days

My bold's pics are fine. Don't really get too many blurry ones or great ones. Btw, you guys do know that megapixels are strictly how big the pics are and have no bearing on image quality. That's dependant on the quality of the lens mechanism.

I don't have a problem with the image size, but they are blurry because of my shakey hands Good thing I'm not a surgeon

Is this even possible though? Swap out the camera and 8900 COD files maybe?

That would be a nice combo. But I think the Onyx has a better cam and plus its the follow up to the Bold anyways.

    From Cnn.cn....

    Hello Omar

No, it's not possible to swap the Curve 8900 camera into the Bold 9000. The
Curve uses a larger square shaped camera. Also, the software on the Bold
would not be able to accommodate the additional pixels, as well as the
    autofocus function.

    Steve Chan
Deep down, I still think it could be done..
