I'm starting to get very frustrated with the 9000. I have gone through 3 devices in as many weeks that seems to get stuck in standby mode. It doesn't happen every time. I'd say 1 out of every 5 times I put the device in standby this happens. Does anyone else have this problem?

No. How do you normally get your device out of standby mode?

What apps do you have? Have you had the same ones on all 3 bolds? One of them could be doing it.

Mine sometimes sticks in standby when coming out of its pouch. Putting it back in for a few seconds brings life again. The problem is momentary but a solution would be good.

Standby button if faulty on the 9000. I had to return one for this same reason.

Well it doesn't matter. I took my phone in to the ATT store and they replaced it with a 9700 on the spot!

I've noticed the standby issue as well, but hitting the mute button always wakes it up.

The standby button is a hardware issue that has never been addressed by RIM. Fortunately, if you have a little common sense you don't need the mute button to put the phone in standby. There are other ways.
