    Hi,

    I have unlocked Blackberry 9650. It has no data plan right now. Just using on prepaid GSM connection.

    It is detecting and showing 3G, but not browsing. Edge works fine. Basically 3g/4g is introduced here (Pakistan) and free for a while. All other mobiles (Nokia/Samsung etc) are working with 3g but not blackberry.

    I read a lot of forums, some of them are suggesting to unlock 3g by updating service book. I am not sure this can be resolved. Please let me know the how can I activate 3g.
    OS version is 5.0.0.975 and written Verizon on it.

    Welcome to CrackBerry! If I understand correctly from List of mobile network operators in Pakistan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I believe that Pakistan's 3G band is 2100 which is what the 9650 has, if it has been unlocked. Which carrier do you use?
