    Hey guys,

    I got my Bold 2 days ago to replace my 8700. Over the weekend (at home) I had no problems with data (2G or 3G) or GPS, it was great. Now, I'm at work and I'm holding my 8700 and Bold next to each other in my office. My 8700 is on EDGE (2G) and my Bold is stuck on GSM. It won't find the data network!

    I'm on Rogers in Canada, is anyone else having this problem in, say, offices or basements?

    Never had a problem with the 3G speed up and running all the time
    Dropped connection once in a basement and that's it
    Been on edge before up at the cottage otherwise in the GTA its always 3G

    3G or 2G didnt work in my office and I'm in London. Sent it back.

    Hmmm... I used the "turn off" function instead of just switching the antenna on/off, and then it found 3G-data. Very strange indeed, I don't know why it wasn't updating the connection.

    Oh, and I just got 14 new "activation" messages saying "you have successfully registered <email>" etc. Maybe this also has something to do with the fact that I ported my old number to Rogers this morning from Telus? No clue, I'm going to keep an eye on it and see what happens.

    Have you tried the "2G only" mode? Does it show EDGE or GPRS then? Also, which operating system version are you using? (check Options > About)

    I'm going to wait this out and see, maybe it did have something to do with the fact that I ported my number over this morning. So far it's running well again.
