I think the majority of people have the same issue i do. 99% of the time i'm in an area without 4G.
The closest city to me with Sprint 4G is 4 hours away in Boston.
Also, WiMax is nothing to write home about as far as speeds and it kills the battery in no time when the radio is turned on.
(I can't speak for other versions of 4G, just basing off my personal experience)
Unless you live in a 4G coverage area (and use it) then i would 4G is non issue at the moment, at least until they work out the kinks (battery consumption, coverage, etc. )
I live in Boston and I have an LTE data card but I will not get an LTE phone yet. LTE is fast and is fast at sucking your battery dry.
I have LTE in my area; would be nice to get 4G on 9930.
LTE is fast, but it's not worth sacrificing the battery life.
The battery life argument will soon be a memory. Now that RIM has finally updated the specs of their current lineup of phones, guess what? Some are starting to complain about said battery life. And the arrival QNX will further decrease Blackberry's battery life "advantage" (See Playbook). Welcome to the 21st century. ;)
I get 14.2mbps down with att on my 9900. This is the reason i choose to be with an GSM carrier, instead with VZ i would prob get 3+mbps max. I hope by the time the LTE berry comes out, att should have a decent LTE deployment.
4G doesnot exist, why can't people see through the slick marketing crap?

Because it is going to take quite some time to get 100mbps download and it is newer technology the one being deployed. It's much easier to call HSPA+ 4g than 3.75G...might as well just round it up. LTE and Wimax should be called 4g in my opinion.
In about 50% of the area I travel every day, I would get 0mbps down with ATT. This is the reason I went with a CDMA carrier.

I think for the purpose of this conversation we're just gonna stick to 3g / 4g even though it may not be "technologically correct"
where i live, AT&T and sprint get about the same 3g speeds so i stick with sprint 'cause it's cheaper (plus i get a 25% discount on sprint)
Verizon has better 3G speeds and LTE is closer (about an hour from me is the closest LTE site) but i can't justify the price for a little bit of a speed increase, esp. since i'm on WiFi 80% of the time.
