I'm running .266, and it's my favorite thus far. I rarely have to do any battery pulls with my regular usage.
I'm not sure if you even care about .282, but it was great too, except for the fact that it broke my Escalating Alarm Clock option (it just played at low volume, and didn't get progressively louder)
Either way, you can't go wrong with .266, as far as I'm concerned, if you're not taking .282 into consideration
I like how people are talking about .282, when the OP doesnt ask anything about it. After using .266 and having overheating and battery drain issues, I went and installed .247.... haven't looked back since
I think I got slightly better batt life with .247. I'm on .266 right now, and it works fine for me. But apparently everyone has their own experiences (probably because of small variations in builds and what 3rd party apps they're running).
.282 drained my batt more quickly than the other two, and the thumbnails were wicked slow when trying to view pics. (Yes, I tried all the different carrier releases for .282, and each one acted exactly alike for me.)

I had good results with .266. I decided to upgrade to .282, because I wanted to be able to switch to 2G (EDGE) when I was in an area with poor 3G signal. I do not notice any other differences between .266 and .282.

I had .266 for about a month or so and it would randomly reboot when playing songs in media player. Didn't do it until I stored around 800 songs or so then it started the reboot mania. Haven't had any problems with .282 so far and never tried .247
