Well I want to give my GF her 1st BB for her Bday on sept/09 and she is more into texting, cam and video so I'm thinking on the 8900 for her don't get me wrong I think the bold is better but she will like more the 8900
If getting the 8900 is to expensive I will try with the 8320 or 8330, I can wait to start BBm with her.

The 8900 is fine. Whatever you do DON'T get her an 8320 or 8330. Those are older models and really have nothing much to offer. Newer Blackberries run much better and faster than older models. PLUS there are nice apps and programs being developed for devices with newer operating systems. The 8900 has a 3 mega pixel camera as well.

get the 8900....the bold seems a little too big and hard to carry around....plus the 8900 has the 3 mega pixel camera and a fast processor....if she rly wants a phone for texting and taking videos, the 8900 would be your best bet

My wife has the Pearl Flip and loves it. She had to have a flip phone though so if that isn't a requirement the 8900 would probably be the way to go.

Personally I love my Bold. However I have been using an 8900 for a few days now, and the camera is amazing, compared to the Bold. Plus, more memory for apps etc.
I had a Curve 8320, upgraded to Bold, and though I'm using the 8900 at the moment, I will return to my Bold. But, that's personal preference.
Also, the Bold is not "too big and hard to carry around"... it's all about what she prefers.

Take her shopping for it maybe? Especially since it's her first...

There's hardly a price difference where I live between the curve 8900 and Curve 8520. I got my gf the curve for $99 on a new contract.

Plus, once you get her a blackberry, she may visit crackberry.com and see your posts about how you wanted to save money and so you bought her a gemini
