    Here is a screen shot. It's circled in yellow. It showed up after a reboot. I thought it might have been a total message count, so I deleted an email, but the number didn't change.

    What could this be?

    I upgraded QuickLaunch from 2.07 to 2.08. Weather wasn't showing on there, so I rebooted and there it was.

    Not a joke, just an observation.

    What other apps do you have? This does not look like any stock BB notification, so it must be a 3rd party app creating it.

    I didn't mean anything by you making a joke, I wasn't upset about it, just wasn't sure.

    I did an actual battery pull and not a "QuickPull" this time and it's gone now. Before I did the battery pull I needed to change the permissions to QuickLaunch to "allow" on everything. Maybe the 172 was coming from QuickLaunch since it didn't have the right permissions??

    That's what I had originally thought. I tried deleting an email to see if the number would go down, but it didn't.

    The number is gone now. I thinking it was because the permissions were sent right for QuickLaunch.

    Had it happen to me the other day too. I had just signed up for facebook sometime earlier in the day so I thought it might have been that. I think I did a battery pull or something and it went away. Never sure what it really was...
