Here is a screen shot. It's circled in yellow. It showed up after a reboot. I thought it might have been a total message count, so I deleted an email, but the number didn't change. :confused:

That's a notification from an app. What do you have installed?
I upgraded QuickLaunch from 2.07 to 2.08. Weather wasn't showing on there, so I rebooted and there it was.
Weather is showing now on QuickLaunch menu.
Looks like a racetrack with a lap counter.
Is that a joke because of the car wallpaper? Or are you referring to something I don't know about?
Not a joke, just an observation.
What other apps do you have? This does not look like any stock BB notification, so it must be a 3rd party app creating it.
I didn't mean anything by you making a joke, I wasn't upset about it, just wasn't sure.
I did an actual battery pull and not a "QuickPull" this time and it's gone now. Before I did the battery pull I needed to change the permissions to QuickLaunch to "allow" on everything. Maybe the 172 was coming from QuickLaunch since it didn't have the right permissions??
Dunno, weird icon for sure. Did not look like an error message of any kind.

That's what I had originally thought. I tried deleting an email to see if the number would go down, but it didn't.
The number is gone now. I thinking it was because the permissions were sent right for QuickLaunch.
Had it happen to me the other day too. I had just signed up for facebook sometime earlier in the day so I thought it might have been that. I think I did a battery pull or something and it went away. Never sure what it really was...
