with .126 I would be down to 8mb or 9mb often.

With .134 I'm usually in the 22mb free area.

if it didn't fix it outright, it sure is a step in the right direction.

But it comes at the price of stable 3G. I've found its back on EDGE a whole lot more than with .126

Less memory leaks for me in this build. BB maps freezes up on me, google maps is slow. Browser is faster though. Still not perfect, but there getting there. Oh, and I'm stuck with a voice mail indicator I can't get rid of.

some good testing this afternoon and all is well with the memory so far. battery pull after I installed .134 today started with 41 mb free been using it lots today to give it a good test and only slipped to 37mb which I am more than happy with. As per previos post now no problem or signal loss with switching between 2d and 3g and browser is better too. all in all I am very happy with it. More to follow if any issues arise. How is everybody else going who have installed this version??

p.s. still no frickin bb maps though, dont know why but I thought this upgrade would get bb maps working LOL! no good reason behind my thinking just hopeful!!

Sounds as if it is working well for you, which is good... as has just been asked have you still got all the original multimedia apps, such as the pictures, songs and video files etc in place?

Has anyone found any downside, or reason not to upgrade to this latest OS yet?

There was a link to a mediafire upload that I posted after finding it elsewhere... safe to assume it was unofficial.

    Installed successfully.

Browser seems faster, def have more memory available (had 17mb on .126, now have stable at around 35mb on .136).

All seems totally fine, am happy with it!

Yep, identical to .126, and idential to .92 (but .126 (and .134) does have a few extra sample wallpapers)

    Nope

I think he meant "how come you didn't remove the bloat during the upgrade" as opposed to whether there's any more.

Well, not really actually... in the early days at least I like to keep that sort of thing, and to be able to start from a 'factory default' position, as it were!

    But that's just me!

As an alternative to the link above, there is a slightly simpler (illustrated) version to be found here!

New OS running sweet at the moment. I read somewhere this is the final version of the OS which the AT&T models will ship with but I doubt if this will be the last OS.
No apparent reason not to upgrade to this OS.
