I saw a thread complaining about the lack of apps for the 99xx compared to iPhone and thought maybe people could get more out of sharing what they use/like on their 99xx. Who knows... Maybe you will see something you have never used before and give it a try.
1. BeWeather - in my opinion, the best weather app for BlackBerry
2. ColorID - assigning different color led alerts to my contacts? Just awesome.
3. BlackBerry Traffic - with the new voice turn by turn capability, it's a great app
4. Kindle - takes a little work to get going the first time, but works great after that
5. TuneIn Radio Pro - has many of the radio stations I listen to locally
kindle doesn't work on the 9900, according to Amazon. If you got it to work please share. I tried to download it but said that its not supported
WeatherBug - I feel like there's no comparison as far as weather apps are concerned, and I was bugged that I couldn't find it in App World that I went out and found it myself.
DropBox - Easily share files between different places. I'm a college student, this is especially useful to have on my phone (like taking a picture of notes and having them on my Mac immediately after...if only I could mute this camera now.)
Advance OS and LED - SUPER customizable and free. In terms of functionality, I think it's my favorite out of all the LED customizing apps (though I really did like BerryBuzz).
Pandora - Puts me on to great new songs to listen to while I work on projects or papers or something. Particularly handy when I'm listening to new genres of music.
My VZW - Pretty self-explanatory. Super useful to see how many of my mins I've used since everything else is unlim.
There are others, but if I had to pick 5, it'd be them.

Where'd you find weatherbug? I've loved that app since my 8900 javelin days but was sad when i got my 9900 and i couldn't get it.
My top five:
Pandora - if you don't know what it is, i doubt you'd like it
VLCRemoteControl - Remotely control your VLC player from your BB
RestartMe - BB rebooter
GasBuddy - Find cheap gas prices locally
Advance OS and LED - already explained above
1. Kindle (works fine).
2. Audible (the 9700 version works, but the on-screen font is a little small. I hope they get a proper OS 7 version out sometime soon).
3. UpVise (mainly for the cloud sync note app, which is much faster and smoother than Evernote).
4. Go Reader (RSS).
5. BB Traffic.
6. BB Podcast app.
Facebook and Twitter (lumping them together to give me another slot. ha.)
NWSClient (a BlackBerry-only app for weather available at renderfast.com)
BlackBerry Travel
Endomondo
ColorID
Others I use often: Google Talk, Score Mobile, Poynt.
Most useful apps: FACELOCK by ajani infotech (TO stop accidentally touching screen buttons While on Call) SugarSync app (5 gig on the cloud for free...had to do it) SETup sugarsync account from you PC/Mac first Quickpull (for those frequent battery pulls without pulling the battery) Scanlife (for scanning most any barcode) iNEW7 theme (app world is case sensitive so "iNEW7") by Walker (better looking and faster than stock os 7 theme)

Is there really a need to have Quickpull on a 9900 since you can just press alt + right shift + del to restart your device?
