I see a lot of complaints about the battery life on these forums and I'm just wondering what everyones display brightness is at? I'm a fairly heavy user (heavy web browsing, heavy bbm and sms, light emailing) and I have no problem getting through an entire day on one charge. I have my brightness at 20/100. First thing I do when I get a new berry is usually turn the brightness down cause I find it makes a biiig difference for battery life.

Back light set at 10/100 auto dim also.

And yes on any mobile device screen uses most battery..... It's a given.

Level 10 for me all day everyday, had 20% battery today after 14 hours of pretty moderate heavy use.

mine's at 100 but then I have access to power most of day. I find screen on 9900 is more difficult to see than 9780 under sunlight.

I just lowered it to 50 today and I am going to try 20 or 30 tomorrow. It seems to be fine for indoors, but I will be outside a lot tomorrow so I will see how that goes.

There doesn't seem to be a big difference between the brightness levels, certainly not the huge difference I'm used to on other devices.

I've set mine to 20 for now, looks perfectly fine.

I just made a thead about this regarding my 9650. I have it on 0 and it seems bright.

On my Android, the dimming settings were very dramatic.

I have mine set at 10% and 10 second auto dim. I have excellent battery life. I took my 9930 off the charger yesterday at 14:00 and as of right now I'm sitting at 70% battery life.

If you are not seeing much difference between brightness leves, uncheck the auto-dim and you will see it. You can check it back and still see the diff. I don't know why but some time the auto dim gets stuck.

I don't know how you guys turn it down to 10. This device has a dimmer backlight than other 9900s I've seen and isn't bright at all. Even still that seems pretty low.
