I'd give 9900 an 8. Great device, the keyboard is magnificent. But it can crash at important moments, never had this issue with my iOS devices. Other than that the updating OS are a big put off. But even with those cons, I'm still happy with device

9/10. Would have given it a 10 if the camera has auto focus and the battery lasts slightly longer. I love the touch screen + keypad combo and the premium feel of the device. I have all the apps that I need so I am not bothered about the 'lack of apps' in BB AppWorld.

As for 9780 (my prev BB) when it first came out, I gave it a 10/10. But now that I am using 9900, I think I will downgrade it to 8/10. It looks and feels so 'old' compared to 9900. And it's hard to type on it now that I have gotten used to 9900 spacious keypad. The only thing that I sort of miss from 9780 is the Auto Focus camera since I use it to take pictures of my notes, book covers etc from time to time. Apart from that, I don't miss 9780 at all.

9/10- I love my 9900 but mine has an annoying squeak whenever I press the trackpad. Apart from this, I love the phone. It is the best BlackBerry I have ever owned. Good job RIM!:-)

My rating would be 7.5 out of 10. Any more would be very generous.

In my opinion it is very hard to come up with a overall grade for the phone there are things that it does well and there are things that it cant get right.

First off the battery life is somewhat decent usually getting thru one work day w/o recharging. Alot of times it does need a boost at lunch time or it just doesn't make it.

Than there is this huge problem of over heating, no one seems to have a straight answer for me about the root cause. I have received a brand new replacement and then a brand new battery....still the problem persists. The last explanation was that because the phone is in my pocket it does not get enough ventilation which causes the over heating. I don't believe that to be the root cause since a lot of times I will keep my phone on the desk. The last step I've taken is deleting the Yelp application which did not work properly...if the issues continues l will be demanding Sprint to replace my phone with another model entirely.

Next, the sleep button not functioning properly and the tech giving a b.s. reply that i don't press it hard enough since the button is recessed.

ok ok, enough bashing the main reason I keep the phone is the keyboard and how it makes emailing, texting, and bbm'ing so easy and effortless. I have used a HTC Evo 4G and the typing was a major pain specially when on the go and I cant look down at the screen. I have always said it, if it wasn't for this reason alone I would be using the iphone a long time ago.

    4/10 for Overall
    10/10 for the Keyboard
0/10 for always freezing in critical moments.......Thanks RIM

I give the 9900 a solid 10, battery life is not a issue for me. I've always had 2 batteries and a spare battery charger(ultra heavy user). The 7.1 is always greatly improving and I'm more than sure that 7.2 will draw back mass BB crowds from iOS/Android. .402 is looking to set the standard, I've been using my 9900 for 12hrs since last charge (heavy emailing/texting/ browsing(opera mini), important calls only) and I just dropped below 50% remaining.

I'll give it a 9 out of 10 as nothing is perfect. But my 9900 running on 402 is close.

It makes phone calls, does great email and takes care of the limited browsing that I do and plays well with my Playbook. I'm a happy camper with my 9900. Give it a 9.

Right now I find the 9900 far to high maintenance and frankly unreliable. Also the way updates are rolled out is a joke.

9900 - I give it a 8/10. Battery life is my concern here.
    9700 - I give it a 9/10. Better baterry life.

Overall the 9900 is a more well crafted device, but the battery life is really an issue for me.

Came from a 9650. Don't really see what all the fuss is about. Touchscreen is decent, battery life is ok, I've had to place a key that fell off two weeks after getting the phone.

I will always love and want a keyboard, so it's good for that.

My company is going to BYOD in q4, so I will give up the keyboard then and move on. Still kind of hoping RIM finds a miracle buyer to save the phone from obsoletion by bringing the android market to us loyal bb users.
