I was using the 9650 for about a year and planned on stepping up to the 9900/9930. It didn't go as planned and I ended up getting the curve 9360. No complaints about the curve, but I would rather have stuck with the bold. So in brief, how is the 9900/9930 treating you people??? Bc I'm def going to be purchasing the new bold soon.

Yes, I'm really liking my 9930..If you like the Bold style, you can't go wrong with this series. Oh and if you worry about the camera not having AF, I think it actually takes good pics without the AF..so that's definitely not a deal breaker for me. You should definitely try one out before you get one, just to make sure. Good luck!

Love this phone. I have big hands.. keyboard is super easy.. os is super fast.. touch screen feels reallllly solid. came from android and if RIM can get their game together, and keep producing phones in the future, I will never go back. the 9900 is worth the buy.

If you are already a Bold fan then there is really nothing bad one can say IMO. The new Bold is just great. Fast. Superb keyboard. Good web browser.

And something not often mentioned. The speaker sounds a lot better than the old Bold.

    I love itttt.

I've only been using it for about 8 or 9 hours, but I've adjusted from full-touch 9850 to QWERTY on the 9930 with sooo much ease. I read people saying the keyboard was awesome, but now that I've used it, I definitely understand why. You won't be disappointed, I promise.

There is already a thread with a poll asking this same thing:

But, to answer the question anyways: yes I definitely am satisfied with my device. The best Blackberry I have ever owned. I've encountered very few problems and have had a 9930 since release date.

This is the best BlackBerry yet. It disappointed me because it could have so easily been so much better if they made it a 16th thicker so they could put an AF on the camera and given it 50% more battery life. Still...I wouldn't take a step backwards to an older bold. I had the 9700 and the Torch before this, and this phone kicks *** on both of them. If you get 9900, I'm sure you won't regret it. The biggest problem for me on the autofocus was taking pictures of text...the camera doesn't take sharp close ups. There is a work-around for that, though...just back the phone away from the page and then use the digital zoom (sweep upwards on the trackpad) and the picture is much sharper. For the battery life, I just carry a spare. At least they are cheap to buy oem battery and charger from Amazon.

I love it! Coming from the 8900 then to the 9700, I had thoughts of getting the 9790 since I was already quite adjusted to the compact size of the phones so I wouldn't have had any qualms had I bought the 9790.

But since I was too eager to get a new phone, I blindly went for the 9900, one week before the official launch of the 9790 in Singapore. I've had this phone for 3 months now, and I can safely say I AM GLAD I got the 9900 than the 9790. The keyboard is AWESOMELY BIG AND SUPER NICE TO TYPE ON, and it makes me wanna BBM/WhatsApp every time I have the Berry on my hands. Battery wise, I have ZERO issues since I'm always in my office most of the time and a charger is always within a hand's reach. Phone cases are also easier to hunt than the 9360 & 9790, and because it's easier to find, they're cheap too (3rd party ones, that is).

The only downside: I can't use TweetGenius. I really, really hope they'll come out with an update for the 9900 series.

No regrets here. Love the size, solid feel, 1st class keyboard, gorgeous screen and thin profile. As for battery life, I run mine on Edge 90% of the time because it's perfect for email and instant messaging. I get 24+hrs doing this. Love it.

This is my first blackberry, and I'm very happy with it.
    1. A lot better battery life then the iphone 4. (I get around 1% battery drain rate when idle)
    2. Best keyboard you can ever get.
    3. The OS experience is snappy and real pleasure to use.
    4. Very nice looking device and feels good in hand.

Bet BlackBerry I've owned. I've at least used every device released (usually friends) from 2007 onwards and this has easily been the best! I was more excited when I got my Bold 9000 but I this is the best as far as experience. Keyboard is the best I've used full stop.

I love everything about the 9900. It has amazing functionality, looks, size etc. Personally I cant find anything wrong with it. There is no "perfect" device out there you just have to find the one closest to your need and go all in.

Very satisfied. Coming from the IP4 and Samsung Fascinate. I used the Torch 9810 for a bit, but I think I went there because of the price. (also, I was itching to get back to blackberry). The 9930 keyboard is awesome. I had the Tour also, and loved it. I have had to do 2 batt pulls so far. The screen is gorgeous and very responsive. Browsing is an absolute joy on this device. I hope this helps OP! It's good to be back on the berry!IMO

When I switched from a 9000 to the 9800, it took me about a week to get used to it. From 9800 to 9900, there was no 'getting used to' period. The keyboard will win you over fast and you'll feel like you've had it forever.

Love this phone more and more. I own an iphone 4 and a Samsung Galaxy S2, both great for what they offer but everytime I use them, it is always the little things that I love about my 9900 that makes me appreciate this phone more and more. It suits me and my life style to a tee and saves me so much time compared to the other two. I`m the biggest fan of this phone(as I type this on my Galaxy Tab right beside my Macbook Pro).
