    Hey Guys,

I am hoping to get a BB Bold 9900 soon (AT&T) and I was wondering if the price was going to drop anytime this year or next year hopefully, I fell $200 is way too much for a contract for a 9900. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Your question should read, "Will AT&T drop the price of the Bold 9900 within the year?" Every phone drops in price. Eventually, this one will too. And definitely this year.

What would make you think it WOULDN'T drop in price?

It is weird that for a dead and dying platform (some tech writers) it can hold its price to darn well.

I got the comparable 9930/verizon from Best Buy over Presidents' Day weekend for free and they've also offered it for $99 with contract renewals. Radio Shack had it for $10.00 at one time.

AT&T contract deals are easy to find. You could have gotten it for less than $200 even a long time ago.

On amazonwireless with an additional subsidization it's currently $79.

Now if you are talking about off-contract price that's different, because Blackberries tend to go down a lot slower than other phones do...

Yeah know what you mean, the 9900 has been 599$ for the longest time out of contract on t-mobile my next upgrade is Nov 2013. In the meantime I got a 9810 off a friend for free. Now t-mobile has the 9900 on sale for 299$ on contract, but with the Q1 release of BB10 just around the corner I don't if I should get the 9900 now or wait and get the BB10 at out of contract price next year. Decisions...decisions.

I purchased my Sprint Bold 9930 from BestBuy for $99 in April with a two year contract. Try Amazon, I think they have the AT&T 9900 for $79 with a two year contract. I doubt you will see a 99xx off contract for less than $300 within the next year unless its off ebay or a similar type website. Good Luck in your search the 99xx series is the best Blackberry device to date .....IMO
