I am afraid to pull apart my 9900 like the other guy so I need a software fix. I am on 7.1.861 and the Wifi signal sucks. It can't manage to keep a signal below the room with the router. Does 862 have better signal? If not is there anything else I can do to fix this?

If it is a hardware problem then no software tweak is gonna fix it.

I think that you are going to have to bite the bullet and take the phone apart, or take it to a repair shop and tell them exactly what you need them to do to it from teh thread that tells you what the fix is.

I had similar problems, turned out my router was not working to well. It took me a long time to find out as it was working, but poorly. I substuted a newer router and all worked again, so I bought a new router.

It seems as if you can either send it for warranty, or follow this link: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...rdware-751180/

Software cannot fix hardware issues. I originally thought it would be an OS issue, but your issue seems like the link. Its not hard to open it up. Just 6 screws in total. The only thing is that it will void your warranty.

If it's a hardware related issue with all 9900s then Blackberry should be worth noone's time!
