Are there any rumours about when we can expect to see the hotspot feature coming to the 9900/ 9930? Its the only thing missing that would make my 9900 perfect!

You will have to speak to your carrier. It is supposed to be coming.

It is depend on your carrier or service provider. But also they have to update the OS version. Bell and Telus Canada already said they will release the wifi hotspot as soon as RIM finalize the OS version with this feature in it.

Depend on how your plan works, you may have to pay additional to get it to work. For example, looks like Telus Canada is offering it for free as long as you pay for the BIS plan. I know you are not in Canada, but just for examples of how companies work on this.

Currently this feature is not even tested, yep, no one has the access to it. I have no idea why, but for some reason RIM has delayed the release. May be they have some FCC rights issues?

Thanks for the info guys...I have unlimited data as part of my price plan, which includes free tethering, so you can understand why i'm keen to have the hotspot feature!

I'll update to one of the OS's from across the pond when they release it, as Three Ireland don't currently stock the 9900.

I hope you're right MSS about Telus, that would be awesome!
I don't need hotspot right now (I have the PB) but it never hurts to have more features!
