Out of spite for all the silly threads about why someone won't buy it.

Seriously though, if anyone wants to make this thread worthwhile, let's see what your most forward looked features are. I'll start:

I'm gonna get it (most likely) because I'm growing sick of Android and the iPhone isn't available on my carrier :P

These are classic BB features but I did not switch to 9780 from IP4 for above reasons. In fact, I could very well live without them.
My attractions to BB are (don't laugh) the classic text based Palm Pilot-like PIM features and keyboard shortcuts, that can all be navigated and handled by one hand (mostly). 9780 lacked better browsing and mapping capabilities but 9900 finally has them. No sliding bar to take calls.
Wish it was a tad more compact.

I am getting this phone because it has the best keyboard around with a touchscreen. The updated OS is another reason. It needed to be but not so much it isn't a blackberry. I have many different OS's and I always come back to Blackberries for a reason.

I agree. The ONLY reason why I am still with BlackBerry.

touch screen, processor, memory. A 9000 with some balls. If the browser is any less of a pos than its predecessors, I'll be pleasantly surprised.

I think the keyboard is doing it for me definitely. Its a huge credit to blackberry and to combine it with a touch screen should lead to something amazing.

For me, I'm constantly pestered by my Android/iOS friends saying "600MHz!" who are spec freaks and don't realise how specs never translate into a better experience by default, the 1.2GHz processor will shut them up right quick, a huge thing for me alone.

The Bold 9000 was and is my top device after the 9700 (8900 is third) and therefore it's a no brainer, better camera, more memory, NFC, plus, the ability to be rocking cases again, something I can't really do with my Torch just adds to it, plus the touch addition will be nice.

All of the above. And let's not forget the "Solid machined stainless steel frame" on the thinnest BB ever made!

The steel frame is a huge unknown for me. I'm used to dropping my plastic BBs onto concrete from several feet and having them shrug it off. Steel might dent and cause issues.

As far as I can remember from school long long time ago steel shouldn't dent as it's flexible, iron and alloy bends, steel flexes and returns to original shape but if flexed too much it will snap. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong

Been waiting for this device for a year. Not too much of a fan of the 9000 but having a very open mind about this device.
And it's a BB. Which is my preferred platform. So really, a nobrainer.
