If its a T-Mobile and I put my AT&T sim in it only works on EDGE. I had a link explaining the Bands and how and what carrier they work with and on AWS. Can any forward it to me or explain the the differences.

I don't have the link, but I'll wait for it, too. AT&T and T-Mob are each on different 3G bands/frequencies. That's why one company's phone only gets EDGE on the other company's network. I think it's stupid. All phones should have all the bands.

"quad band" only refers to 2G GSM bands. For a phone to get 3G or "4G" on T-Mobile it also has to comprise the 1700 UMTS (or HSPA, 3G, whatever) band. The 9900 from Rogers/Bell/Telus/ATT won't get 3G on T-Mo USA or on Wind or Mobilicity in Canada even though all these companies are GSM. Sucks for sure.

I love what Nokia does with their S^3/Anna/Belle devices- all except the crippled T-Mobile USA Astound are pentaband HSPA devices that will get 3G on every GSM network on the planet, including AWS.

You need to know the UMTS spec.

your 9650 or a 9930? both of those phones include 2100 mhz 3G for overseas roaming. you will NOT get GSM 3G in north america on any CDMA (sprint or verizon) blackberry. only EDGE.

Yes, 9650. So 3G on GSM Europe thanks to the 2100 mhz. Thank you!
