    Hi everyone,

I got an extended battery one my 9930 and everytime I pull my battery I get a "x" on the screen with a time thing. The extended battery (china one), came with this thing that I have to put the original battery in and the extended battery in for a few seconds to make the phone work. Anyone know how I can fix this so I don't have to do this everytime?

Before I upgraded my os I never had this problem. How do I downgrade if there is no fix and to what version?

    I have version 7.1.163

    Thanks everyone.

Toss your 10 cent junk battery out the window and go buy a RIM original battery - that's how you fix it.

I think that is called a cloning thingy.

Each battery comes with an ID that it reads to the phone. Sadly someone found out how to clone the ID but it is only cloned for a short period of time.

There is no way to fix this.
Downgrading will not help you. It is the battery.

I came in here to say, "I bet you have one of those penny batteries" But I guess you beat me to it.
