I've been wanting to buy a Bold 9900 for T-Mobile for some time now, but have been turned off by the price. You'd think that, given RIM's current struggles, they'd try to make their phones cheaper to get some sales until BB10 rolls out. But T-Mobile offers the 9900 for $350 with 2-year contract renewal (there's a $50 rebate for new subscribers). On ebay, it seems to be going for $400+ new, $300+ used. Is there a better deal that I'm not seeing?
Try looking around on craigslist. Be carefull because some are stolen or red flagged phones.
Whenever I buy a phone from someone off craigslist I meet them at my carriers store so you would meet them at a tmobile and go in and ask the rep to make sure the meid and msid are clear in their system for you to activate it. Then you can check it and activate it on the spot too.
Thanks, I did not realize Best Buy had it that low. The price was still good the last I checked, so I went ahead and made my order. At $99 compared to T-Mobile's official upgrade price of $349, I say it's a pretty good deal. Of course, that means I won't be getting a BB10 phone any time soon, but I have my PlayBook for that.
Get it unlocked from any carrier, if they do sell them that way. Other than that, Ebay would probably be the cheapest way to find cheap Blackberries. Isn't Ebay the place of second hand goodness?
got mine from craiglist. I would be thorough when investigating the device and critical. The problem with ebay, you cant physically check it in front of you.
haven't received mine, but i just purchased a 9900, extra battery, 2 cases, 2 desktop chargers for $335. the seller had 100% feedback. i only purchase from 100% feedback sellers.
