You can pick up a leatherback for a 3g on clearance for 10 dollars + shipping. Cut it to fit and it'll be good to go.

Any chance of blending the edges a little so its not such a square surface sticking out. I am missing my leatherback greatly and want to do this right the first time

I am also very curious for another angled pic.

In my mind i can stick the leather to the door and then trim. and then kind of bevel or trim the leather in a 45 degree angle to mate with the surface so there isn't a square shoulder.

I am currently using a Otter commuter, but this phone deserves to be caseless, yet i dont want that back door scratched

I can't. I took it off last night. Was really annoying. I thought that the skin would be thinner, and I would have been ok with that. This thickness....too much. Sorry.
