Come on guys, enough is enough. Do you always have to be the last carrier? Yikes! I need the improved battery life now...

So use one of the many other OS's out there for the 9930 if you are so desparate for an update.

Carrier is irrelevant, if it's a 9930 OS it wil work on your phone !!!

Why would you need Verizon to "push out an update"?

If you want to update, just download and update and install it.

This is not a practical answer. I travel and work for a living, I'm not a hobbyiest.

Without an official version the phone doesn't roam globally. And if you have a problem you cannot reload an operating system over seas because Verizon phones require a cdma network to activate.

I tried .342: good battery life, flakey phone performance overseas. .402 is not usable at all overseas.

.267 clearly has a battery issue which can be seen in the diagnostics.

So, I wait for Verizon to wake up...
