C'MON!!!! When the heck are they going to bring 9930's up to date....I hear there is much improved battery in these new 9900 installs yet 9930 users are treated liked the trailing of a dog wiping it's a** on the carpet because it's itchy. This is ridiculous really. RIM/Carriers can control these things but they don't....I don't know. Just very disappointing RIM/VZW. Hope you HEAR THAT.

PS: nothing against you 9900 users, keep on updating!!

You do realize that the 9930 got an official update from VZW less than a month ago, right?

Going along with what Mayor just said YES there was a major update and it should have been pushed to your DM so I would plug it in and check because I am sure you plug it in like I do once a week to do my weekly backup and this way you will know what is available. Other than that, VZW has always been slow and known for it in getting out any OS updates that there might be. We have learned to be patient.

I'm pretty sure I have the latest.. .374 I also had .362 from another carrier before that, so maybe I'm a little spoiled but when you see day after day of new updates for the 9900, I get a little jealous I guess. But c'mon, we all know there are better updates out there to be released but they just take so long. I am a little excited to see if there really is major battery improvement such as our friends with 9900's. I guess I'll have to learn some patience and keep my spare battery with me a while longer then.

No OS optimizations will help my battery life but maybe of 30 minutes.... I would classify myself an extreme user. I average 250+ e-mails a day, Lord knows how many bbm's and group messages, and around 10 to 12 gig of data a month. Back on my 9650 I had, even the mighty MOAB (Seidio 2600mAH) couldn't get me through past 7pm...

Another idiotic rant for unnecessary updates. There's nothing the 9930 can't do with the VZW .374 OS.

1 decent update would be great... especially how i saw the .540 fixed my friend's problem where the battery would drop low and when charge 'bricks' itself. maybe an update would do the same for the 9930 and improve battery life... my battery life is very poor right now... jus 1 decent update...we paid just as much as the owners of 9900.

i see 9900 owners saying we're complaining and being irrational. if 9930's were the only getting updates(ones that fixes most issue) you'd be sore and upset...just saying... i know there are much more 9900s vs 9930s, but still...

Say that to my now useless BB 9930 that decided it no longer recognizes mobile carriers....especially VZW. >

A few leaks/official updates won't be bad. I've had very poor battery life on my 9930. I just plugged it into DM and saw the .374 update, if things don't improve, I'll just buy a 9900.

This is Bull****, the 9930 is part of the "flagship" device series, but all of a sudden, the 9930 is put on the back burner. I'm real salty, because I'm one of the dedicated Blackberry owner's that ran out and picked up this device on the release date; Just to find out that this model is subject to being bricked, have poor batt life amongst other things. If I do get another Blackberry, I will wait at least 6 months after the release date, to see what my fellow consumers feel about the device. Not Kevin, Adam or BGR.

I bought my 9930 about a month ago and upgraded the same day to .374. In all honesty, I've had overall excellent battery life and only once or twice have had to plug into the charger half way through the day (those were extra heavy usage days).

Considering that .374 contained the NFC addition, I'm not sure what else needs an upgrade at this time (besides the potential bricking issues, which we are still not sure will be fixed with a software upgrade).

With that said, I would love another update just as much as anybody, but I can't really complain with .374 version. It seems to run pretty good.
