Considering that bbx device will come out soon in 2012 (full touch phone) how long willit take to have a BBX phone with a keyboard like the 9900??
Every REP a spoke to from RIM said that none of the current os7 device will be upgradable to bbx .
Should i buy a 9900 or wait?
The first set of bbx phones are going to be full touchscreen phones. If you don't require the full qwerty keyboard then wait, but 9900 is the best qwerty keyboard blackberry, and will hold that title for a while.
At least 3 years for sure beause as tre5tackz said above, the first BBX phones will not have the iconic BB physical keyboard.
Don't know where you get three years from, but RIM has all but said we won't see QWERTY keyboards on a BBX phone in 2012. So what tre5tackz said I think is a pretty safe bet, at least into 2013.
Oh the three years I pulled out of no where... I need to use this for three years thanks to super 3 year long Canadian mobile contracts.
The lifespan will be when the phone quits working. There are people still using OS 4 bb's.

I love my keyboard, ughhhhh, so BBX will have to be a whole new purchase, guess im giving the gf my 9900 once that comes out or maybe keep this amazing phone as a backup :D
Lol. 9900 users are having trouble making it 3 months, much less the release off an BBX blackberry.
