I'm running a "stock" 9930 with 7.1.0.580 from VZW - no battery issues at all. I use about 15% a day, with BT, GPS and WiFi enabled, NFC and HotSpot disabled.
Only have four apps other than the defaults installed (BeWeather, MoonCal, RSA, Enterprise Messenger).
I average 90 min on this phone (in the car to/from work), a dozen or so calendar reminders and 300 emails a day (reply to maybe a third).
7.1.0.649 is the BEST OS by far in my opinion!! It is a leaked OS, but has worked the best in my experience using it. The "Battery Saver" Mode and "Application Resource" monitor really does help conserve the battery! Also there is not much memory leak with this OS. And stand-by is great! Doesn't waste any juice.. I have over 50 apps loaded on my 9930 and I use my BB all day! And right now I still have 30% battery left as I'm typing this after a long day of use. .649 is the best!
going to have to agree. .649 has been the best for me so far as well.
The os plays less of a factor on battery life than other components. Brightness of screen, strength of signal, users habits, apps running, using it as a Hotspot, and many more.
