I had it but didn't bother to check it at the time but now I have the tmobile 9900 and the 9900 os version is definitely not as good as the one sprint had.... with sprint the phone battery was amazing and ui was smith. With tmobile battery sucks and the ui glitches sometimes. Already tried some leaked os's and they don't make a difference.

I know you can't use 9930 software for 9900 but was wondering if the same version was appropriately made for the 9900?

Yes currently Sprint Bold 9930 is running 7.0.241 hopefully they'll update it soon, for me overall the Sprint Bold 9930 is the best BlackBerry I've ever had...except my youtube app works 50% of the time in 3G, hopefully the next OS7 update will fix that.
