As a possible future-adopter of the 9900 as a secondary phone, I was thinking to myself: why is this phone a must have for most people who are 'Team BlackBerry'? I know the reasons I'm interested in it - well, I mean I don't really, I've just always had an unexplained attraction to BlackBerry - but I'm curious as to what the main reason/s for purchase will be for most others. Usually BlackBerry users aren't the type to be concerned with specs or anything like that, so I was wondering why the jump to the next gen. Bold is so important.

If your response isn't listed in the poll, feel free to add it in a comment.

EDIT: You can check multiple options!

The biggest advance is the faster processor!

This one feature is enough. The others are frosting!

Because it's a bb and "should" run better than any other with the updated (out of date others will say) hardware and the new OS.

Can I vote for multiple features? Faster processor, liquid graphics, etc. The BOSS of all BBs.

They should call it BlackBerry Boss.

Don't know if that's rhetorical or not, but yes, you can vote for multiple features.

Software-wise I'm actually more or less satisfied with OS6, so I lean towards hardware advances:
    1. LARGE Keyboard
    2. Faster processor & more memory.
    3. Touch-screen.

    - bigger keyboard
    - best of both worlds keyboard and touch
    - it's just the new flagship and I always have the bb flagship
    - I just like to change my phone from time to time
    - I am such a big user they give it to me free anyway
    - I HATE the number 9, but love the number 9900
    - I damaged my 9800 on the side a bit (scratch) and it irritates the **** out of me
    - I like to support RIM so they can tell everyone they sold one more

For me it'll resolve the disappointment I felt when I had to take my iPhone 4 back - there is so much awesomeness in that phone as a gadget it's a real shame it's such junk as a communication device (when compared to Blackberry). I was so relived to go back to RIM with my 9700 but I really missed the WOW-factor of the iPhone 4. The 9900 seems like the ideal compromise I dreamed of when I took the iPhone back.

It will be the best device for me regardless of what other people think.

Show me another phone that focuses on keystroke efficiency outside of BlackBerry and I'll be happy to switch.

if the carrier gives it to me (because I pay them a ****load of money every month), RIM has sold it, somebody has to pay something somewhere, it's the law of the universe

I went back to BlackBerry the Torch 9800 because of the PlayBook and after a few days with it what I'm loving it the Touch feature, RIM really needed it/less work.

Having said that, the On-Screen Keyboard, Scrolling and Pinch needs improvements. If RIM fixed these issues, this what makes the 9900 a must have.

My first Smart Phone/BlackBerry was the Bold 9000, so it would be nice to come back after going through all the Berry, iOS and android's.

I like the fact that it will have a solid keyboard. I hated the Torch's dual keyboard. I found it flimsy and unworkable for me. I ended up getting a Bold 9780 and love it. I'm hoping that the 99XX series will be solid by combining the traditional Bold keyboard with a touch screen.

For me it is the combination of higher specs (processor, display etc.) in a form factor that is simply more useful to me than a bulkier all-touch model.

Speed and stability/reliability (compared to 9650 and 9700)
    HSDPA+
    HD video recording
    NFC
    Touchscreen
    Better browsing experience

Like I mentioned I'm comparing to previous BBs, other platforms are not optional for me.

5MP camera/720p recording isn't as popular as I expected it would be.

Wonder if that's cus it's not important to most people or because 5MP/720p isn't super impressive...?
