So, I know this is silly, but I believe I have some water damage to my phone, as the screen turned pure white. I remember moments ago I placed my umbrella in my purse, not realizing my phone was in my purse. Just as I got home to check my phone the screen was white. I've overheard by many that it is useful to put your phone inside 2-3 cups of grained rice? Is there any other result that might be use full to help remove the water from the phone? I appreciate all comments.

Interesting article Laura. I always see the recommendation of the immediate battery removal (which is also recommended in the post you referred to) followed by being put in a bag of rice for a few days. The most important thing is to act fast. Often water is the kiss of death for cell phones and by the time people ask, it's too late.

@ibcop it would be far too early.

@bb9300user good luck and whatever method you use, resist the urge to check it by turning it on. Wait as long as you can for it to dry out.
