I am having trouble trouble finding the best OS 7.1 for attention bold, and how to install. I have never done an update without carriers pushing it to me. I would love to have my nfc chip and hotspot. Any help would be appreciated!!!
Exactly to save yourself time and the hassle I would stick with 7.1.0.391 for your AT&T 9900 since the mic issue i've been plagued with as well and I had to revert back when I've tried any of the newer 7.1 OS's
I'm on AT&T and have .523 installed and I haven't run into the mic issue at all, so I would try it first and then if you get the issues, revert to .391

It seems to depend on where you live in the Country.
Somewhere in the forum I recall seeing a post with known "good" and "bad" states and cities, but it did appear that there was a distinct geographical location pattern appearing.

If you want the hotspot on AT&T without a tethering plan, I believe 7.1.0.267 is the most recent version you can use. Unfortunately, I don't know where to get it.

This is the link to the original .267 leaked thread, may still be some working mirrors or links
Thanks! All of the links to the leaked version were stale. The official SK Telecom version makes me much more comfortable. Now I'm ready for my upgrade to the 9900 next month.
The last leak I installed was when I went from 4.5 to 5.0 on my 8900. Otherwise AT&T builds have always been ok with me. I'm really itching to have NFC, though, so I think I'll jump.
