Just saw that the Bold 9930 on Verizon Wireless drop to 199.99 with a new 2 year agreement. This should've been the 2 year price since launch but it figures Verizon would charge a premium since they were the only major U.S. carrier that offered it (Sorry T-Mobile). Good to see AT&T's announcement cause a price drop now though. Who's going to pick one up now?

Sprint does have the 9930. Not sure what the OP is talking about. T-Mobile would have the 9900, not the 9930.

And they have been $199 for a while - before the AT&T announcement.

I'm determined to be patient and get the 9930 for $99 or less...can I hold out that long?

I sure couldn't! But I was able to scoop it up for a penny with new service.

Well since you are now determined instead of detained is there something you don't like about your current phone or do you just want another phone?

That makes two of us, but even $99 is more than the 9930 is worth, imo. Still feeling the sting from the last $99 investment I made.

It was an AWESOME deal. Glad I took advantage of it before it was too late!

I'm finding I'm leaving my phone in the car and at home a lot because it is just too big. I need the extended battery and that makes it heavy also. Overall, I love the device but overall it is too big!

That, and I can't see the screen in sunlight. I live in Florida and I hike, kayak and geocache a lot. I need to be show to see my device outside.

    Those are the main reasons.

Ah, thanks. I was just curious and thought you really like that phone. But those are understandable. I guess in the back of mind I'm starting to wonder what I would switch to if RIM does actually die. Hope not.

It has been worth every penny of the $199 that I spent on it. Great device, love the screen, love the keyboard, and love the feel in hand. It's a BlackBerry, the rest of it is the same, but OS7 is pretty nice as well.

Speaking of keyboards I played with some other keyboard phones today and I have to say none of them even came close to the bb keyboard, not even close.

I have to agree. I haven't found a phone yet that has a keyboard that comes anywhere close to a BB keyboard. Even the old 8830 had a great keyboard, and they have only gotten better since then. I thought that the 9700 that I was using was the best, until I jumped on this 9930. WOW!
