In the past, I've used AT&T vvm on non AT&T devices by calling their customer service and having vvm provisioned on my account but I would give them the IMEI from an AT&T blackberry. They would ask me to power my bb off, push the vvm and power it back on. Not sure that this will still work but that's what I've done and it worked.

so now that att has released the 9900 do we just have to call and have them enable vvm on our phones?

    has anyone done this?

(and this for people who have been using unlocked rogers on att's network)..

VVM is not real visual voicemail imo. AT&T and Rogers offer voicemail transcription to text and email. When you don't have to call into your voicemail to listen to messages and you can just READ them through text or email, that's true VISUAL voicemail.
